Remote Assets

Data-Command, an AVIDwireless partner, provides a subscription-based service for the monitoring of remote assets. The company is utilizing our AVIDdirector™ product at remote locations around the country, such as rural water towers and underground sewers. These units collect information from remote instrumentation and send it to Data-Command's data centers, where it is stored and securely served up to the user via any standard web browser. Included in the standard system are user-configurable data display, alarming and historical trending capabilities.

In addition, Data-Command provides a comprehensive set of data alerts to its users, ranging from emails to text messages to automated voice alerts. The information can also be sent from any unit in the system to any other unit, allowing for additional system integration.

These features, combined with Data-Command's user-friendly web-based interface, provide Data-Command's users with a great customer service experience.

Expandable:
The AVIDdirector unit can support any type of wireless data so it can be utilized from virtually any location. Numerous configurable I/O ports allow you to conntect to virtually any device or equipment.

GPS:
If your asset requires location, GPS can be added to AVIDdirector to allow tracking of the remote resouce.

Network Flexibility :
The AVIDdirector platform can be configured to work on any of the standard wireless networks.

 

AVIDdirector:
AVIDdirector framework is the software and the toolset that is used to handle all the client features required to support remote data capture. The AVIDdirector framework supports the information and an M2Mlet is written to handle the required communications back to the Data Command Portal.

The AVIDdirector framework has been used in many applications so the code has been tested again and again for both performance and quality.

 

 

Hardware Interface:
Our team of expert embedded developers were able to help Data-Command personnel create the application necessary to complete the remote monitoring in just a few days. Since the framework was developed to handle all the hard work, such as the radio classes and the communications protocols, Data Command personnel were able to very quickly develop the application necessary to connect with their own backend.
